For decades, technical education in the West has drifted toward a historical appreciation of math and theory, abandoning direct application. Engineers graduate without knowing how to design manufacturable assemblies, manage hardware, or navigate network routers. Software developers get lost in bloated frameworks without mastering basic WAN architecture and stateless request-response loops first. The chasm between the lecture hall, the lab bench, the shop floor, and the network servers has never been wider.

Simultaneously, the classical "division of labor" has collapsed. Historically, an independent builder could focus on engineering and hire specialists to handle the marketing, accounting, management, and legal operations. Today, that assumption is a liability. Educational bloat and theoretical confusion are just as rampant in general business, finance, and clinical fields too. Hiring for or subbing out out your support systems has become more confusing, costly, and time-consuming than the value those services actually provide. The modern creator faces a stark choice: surrender your best ideas to corporations, or go it alone and build the operational scaffolding yourself.

We seek to support those who refuse the corporate path, or at very least, recognize the conflicts and traps it presents.
